Affiliate Application

Hi all. Firstly I am new here - so excuse me if I am posting in the wrong forum.

Basically, I have a website that others link to, and as and added incentive I wish to run a small affiliate style program.

Ideally, each person will have a login and an ID, which will get added to their linking code to my site. For each time they send a visitor to my site, they will receive 1 credit which at the end of the month will equal 1 entry into a monthly competition.

Is there anything that will do something along these lines already? If not, how hard is it to code in php for a beginner?

Any help at all would be appreciated.

The links to your site will only have to include the affiliate's id:

www.yoursite.com/index.php?id=222

Then at the top of you page have a small check to see if the people linking to your site have come from an affiliate.

if ($id!='') {
// if $id isn't blank
// add one point to the affiliate
// matching $id.
}

Then include the res of you page...
