Hey guys. You may be able to point me somewhere on this one instead of explaining. I've read about cookies/sessions in books but I guess I haven't found a good example. Here's my question/problem.
I'm creating an online gradebook. Right now I'm passing all my variables through the URL. So my URLs are www.domain.com/gb?course_id=CSC111&course_sec=2...and so on. They are getting quite long, especially when I'm modifying records and I have the hidden fields of the original section # and then the new value of the section # if it was modified. Needless to say, I'm passing up to 10 variables in the URL.
I'm assuming cookies/sessions would make this easier. The only sessions I have is the login for the student and the login for the professor. I don't have these named so all I have at the top of pages is session_start();
Just curious on how else I can pass the values. Thanks!
