Questions about OSX server

I have a website that gets more traffic than an LA freeway. I'm considering moving the server in house to save on BW charges.

Question: Anyone have experience with Mac servers? I need a powerful server, and I don't think any computer out there is faster than dual processor Macs. But how efficient is it as a Web Server? PHP comes installed, does it run efficiently?

Any insights would be appreciated.

i have configured the MAC OSx server for php. It is simpler to configure thanm oter servers. However, since there are two httpd.conf files, it may sometimes seem confusing. If u need any directions oon installing php on the mac osx, please visit http://www.entropy.ch/software/macosx/php/

you may want to consider running linux on that spiffy mac. there's been a lot of press on ppc linuces in the last week (most of it favourable)
