Can PHP interface with USENET?

Does anyone know if it's possible to use PHP to fetch new posts from a USENET group? I was wanting to create some sort of on-line automated archive site for a small newsgroup.

Yes it can, but you'll have to get/write an NTTP interface routine. It's not very difficult, just tricky.
