mail function and PHP.ini ??

hello all,

I am sending mails from my local machine everything is working fine but there is a simple problem, a header goes with every mails which if bellow

From: <> Return-Path: <> Message-ID: <[e-mail]>

it apprers on the top of every mails ?? how can I prevent this header ??

I suspect that you have a line in your header that has two newlines ("\n\n") in it just before that little bit you posted.
According to SMTP (and HTTP and many other protocols), "\n\n" defines the end of the header and everything after that is the used in the body.

So that would neatly explain why you see header info in the body where it aught not be.

no there is nothing like that, headers are defined fine.

$body='body contents';

and I am relly worried with the situation. dont know what to do..

Actually it's working fine when I send mails through my web site hosted on linux, but If I use my local machine(windows 98) then it sends this header which shows before the mail body. which is the below .

From: <> Return-Path: <> Message-ID: <[e-mail]>

What the hell is this ??
