Displaying generated PDF in IE6

I am trying to display a generated PDF document in a browser, without having to save it to a file. In Netscape it works fine, but IE displays a blank screen.

I have done some searching on the web, and I found that apparently there has been problems with earlier versions of IE with displaying generated PDF. Has this been corrected in IE6? If it has, what am I missing?

I still suffer problems with IE5.5 & IE6 with Acrobat Reader 5.0. It appears that unless all the Adobe DLLs and running progs haven't completely finished from the last run, Adobe doesn't restart / reset correctly.

Another possibility here may be that the problem lies in the server itself.

Make sure that the server is set up to support byteserving, or else it could bugger up the display of PDFs in IE.

We ran into this problem at my work last fall, and ensuring that byteserving was turned on fixed the problem.
