HELP!!!

I am new in PHP....I try to use PHP file to write something text into text file, and i got the message:

OK I just tested your site and saw that you are useing "w" now. The error simply tells you that you may only have read and maybe execute permissions. Well you need to have Read, Write, and Execute. This can be dangerous though! That is a fair warning. Try using a database to do it. If you have mysql then it is really easy to use. That way it is easy to delete entrys and make a lot more features than just URL, and Description. So thats really all I have. Thats just how I have been told to do things. I don't know if I am right but it works. Lata!

obviously it's a permissions issue. assuming yr using some sort of unix, i would suggest using the /tmp dir (as it is world writeable) or creating a specific writedir with perms that allow write for the httpd owner. if you really need to have those files be permanent and in a specific location you can always run a cron job that moves them there.
