Getting remote image?

hi,

how can i copy an image from a remote server (via http) using php? i tried giving the url of the image and did an fread but it did not work out. does it matter if the directory under which the image is stored is protected, if i give the full url of the image?

Check this site out. I have seen the code for such a thing. It is basically a file uploader where you can specify a url.
No it doesnt matter about the server because read permissions must be set on or the image could not be viewed.
