linking php files?

Hello all.
I am trying to link my website (built with frames) to my php files. I have my start page and when clicking on the "Online Store" link i want to open my store in the MainFrame frame. It doesn't work it wants to download the files instead??
What am i doing wrong?? I have all the store files in a folder inside the website's folder.

First of all check that you server runs PHP.

Secondly, make sure you are not in FTP or the files will download istead of opening.

Thirdly, make sure your PHP files are named 'filename.php'.

If all the above are ok then you are a bit stuck.

Links to php are the same as to html
eg
<a href='myphpfile.php'>My PHP File</a>

Instead of coming here and taking all the time could someone point me to a good php newbie book??? maybe then i can give as well

I would read an online tutorial to give you a quick overview of php. webmonkey.com is how I started, but their articles are a little specific for me. try echoecho.com they generally have very good articles. I own PHP core, which is an excellent reference but I'm not so sure how good it would be for beginners. Hope this helps,
