Can some body tell me what's the equivalent regular expression for perl's word bound in PHP .. i,e
$result = preg_replace("/\b$myword\b/i","$hyperlinkstart $myword $hyperlinkend",$contents);
i,e to replace by word bound .... (i want to use eregi_replace instead of preg_replace)
i tried all options, even putting ^ and $ at the beginning and at the end respectively .. but it never matched ...
e.g my string is ... xyz company produces C product.
my script should hyperlink the product C ... but by using eregi_replace it even hyperlinks the c present in company ...
This is urgent ... and i do not want to use preg_replace ....
Thanks in advance,
