I know many of you guys use PHP editors for Linux.. can you guys share youre expierance with them? Iam looking for one and I would like to hear recomendations.. Thanks
i use nedit. it runs on all unices pretty much, has syntax hiliting (although you have to go get the php .pat), handles foreign line endings nicely and doesn't try to do everything under the sun (like some text editors i know)
editplus is the best and works through the wine windows emulator (but unfortunately not if you are logged in as root, but this will work too in the next versions
There is a Java editor called jext that is great. The down side is that it's a memory hog--like all of the Java apps I have run. But the syntax highlighting and other tools are among the best I've seen. You can find it on Freshmeat.
