admin page for clients news updates

Hi Everyone,

Really new to PHP! First post on this board,

Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction of a tutorial or something like that so that i can look at how to create an updatable news page for a client.

I'd like something where the client logs in to a page adds some news and possibly a picture then submits it to the news page of my site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
