web design in IE n NS

hi there! i have a problem. hope anyone could point a solution to me. I have designed a webpage. it looks perfectly fine using IE, but when i tried to browse using NS, the page looks like a mess, with misalignment. It got even worse with NS, that it can't load the next page as it can find it.
It really troubles me as i don't know what to do. pls help. thanks

if you are using CSS and layers, note that NS does not use the same syntax as IE, therefore you need create code to sniff the browser version and use the appropriate styles to make the pages work similarly...

if the page is completely broken in netscape, most likely thats due to bad html.

I agree with all the above. NS and IE are 2 different worlds of design and to dishearten you further you get different views in the browser in different operating systems. But HTML and CSS are the 2 major problems that the browsers have in displaying pages. the simplest is to fork the code after you determine the browser.
