Function (Mail)

Hi there,

I have created a php script that uses the mail function to send an automatic email from the server to the user.

My question if its possible to update the php.ini file or the script so as to return the senders name "SENDER" instead of the default setting "[e-mail]".

If so how ? appreciate your help.

sendmail_path = --path-to-sendmail--/sendmail -t -f thesender@domain

note that you probably will get an X-authentication warning if you use this method...

Yes i do mean "FROM" and no i cant use Send_Path since i am using windows 2000.

Is there any other way ?!

$to = '[e-mail]';
$from = '[e-mail]';
$subject = 'my subject';
$body = 'My message';

mail($to, $subject, $body, 'From: '.$from);
