file upload: permision denied

I tried to use HTML and PHP scripts to upload a file to the server. This is the error message I get from the server.

Unable to create 'FILENAME': Permission denied in /fileupload.phtml in line 114

My line 114 is the copy function.

Do I need to change the server permision?

Could sonmeone please help me on this.

Cindy.

Make sure you have the correct permissions set all the way up to the directory that you are uploading to. The easiest way is to chmod 755 the directories.
