hey, im tryin to get started with php, but im not sure what i need to do to get my files to work. i have made a simple php file that should just say hello, but the screen just comes up blank, im using windows me and im gettin annoyed
you need to have IIS or APACHE installed. You also need to install PHP (Found on PHP.net) then you need to make sure that your pages end in either .php or .php3 (MAINLY .php now). Since you are on windows do not use Wordpad, use Notepad. And then when you save them drop the menu down to All Files(.) and then save it as something.php and make sure its in your HTDOCS (if running Apache) or other for IIS.
