I've studied the tutorials in the apache documentation, and followed a couple of other bits of advice, but can't seem to get my head round mod_rewrite.
What I need is this:
/articles/1/story.htm?var=2
to translate to this:
/pages/articles.php?art_id=1&var=2
but I also need to be able to substitute 'pages' and 'articles' for various other words.
Bear in mind I don't have root access to the server, I can only do this through a directory htacesss file.
