newbie question

Hello all
please excuse me if this is a stupid question but ive just started with php and mysql.

I have a web site on which users have to register their details name, address, email etc.
What is the best way to view this database offline ? eg like you would an access database ? so that i could give the whole lot to someone else. Is converting difficult ?

Depends on what format you want to give it away in. MySQL can "dump" a SQL script (ASCII text) that can completely recreate the database (structure and content) on another MySQL server. You could also write a script to generate a comma separate values file suitable for pulling into your favorite spreadsheet or Access. Of course, you could write script that let the person view the information from the web site too (I know you said off line, but hate to rule out anything).
