faxing options!

Hello folks

looking to send faxes from our intranet raq server

will we need to install a module on the raq that will take a file and send it as
if it had been a faxed hard copy (circumventing the fax machine on the network)

OR use exec() to call the fax machine on the network and place a hard copy of what we want to send in the fax machine

what are the options for sending faxes from an intranet server
and can anyone offer some instruction with these options or provide links to relevant pages

have spent most of the morning looking without much look

if the first option works then great

However if ou company needs to know what communitions have been sent via fax then the second option sounds more suitable

what module will need to be installed we are using cobalt raq with apache,php,mysql
