I have just got some new hosting but unfortuantely the host provider doesn't allow me to have access to the directory above the web root.
My issue is this nnormally i always put my scripts outside the web root for security reasons. However as i am not able to do this in this casehow do i protect my database connection script. I'm thinking of putting it in a dir that has a .htacces protection and then only allowing access the users from "localhost".
Anyone got any ideas?
