Display only 6 images

I am new to PHP and am still learning..

I have created a photo Gallery page and now want to set it up so that if there is 30 images in the data base that it will only display 6 per page..

Can some one help me out please..

all i want is to know how to set it up so it starts at id 1 and ends at 6 and then on the next page it starts at id7 and ends at id 12..

any help would be great

The key to what you want to do is the mysql function LIMIT (see www.mysql.com). There is an article on this very site which might be of help.
