Uploading Files - note the 's'

Is there any way of uploading multiple files or a folder? I have gotten 1 file to work fine but I would like the user to be able to upload a more than 1 or a whole folder of pictures that could be individually validated by PHP before being put into the database.

Any help welcome!

set up a series of file input fields with name userfile[]

in the upload script, iterate through the fields (an array), first checking if the field is "none"- no file then checking for the specific file types/size.

even though i have a hunch that i know what you're talking about, i have written a multiple file upload script (source is on the page as a link, too) here: http://www.fandelem.com/uploads/

now then, if you are referring to being able to select multiple files via the ctrl/shift key in the dialog box (after you click on 'browse') .. php cannot do this .. you need to write a java applet (v. extensive 🙂

I assume this means you cannot upload a folder at once. The dialog box doesn't seen to ba able to cope with it. What if you chose a file in the folder you wanted uploaded and then deleted the file part so that you were left with just a folder? Would PHP be able to do anything with this.
