Assuming you're using windows, PuTTY is one of the most popular SSH clients. If you don't know anything about Linux, you need to start learning. when you open the connection, you type your username and password. Then, yuo type commands, just as in MSDos. For example, ls -l will give a list of files and directories. cd anydir will change the directory to anydir, if it exists. This is just the tip of the iceberg. There are numerous tutorials for unix commands. It can be very powerful. Good luck!
