Dynamically update portions of a page?

Hi,

Is it possible to build a pages divided into seperate portions a bit like with html frames and then when choosing a menu item, only the portion in the middle changes instead of the whole page reloading?

Yes, sort of. This cannot be done using PHP, buit can be done using javascript rollovers, dhtml and css rollovers, or iFrames. iFrames are small frames in the middle of pages. They shoould be supported in IE and Netscape now, and Opera too I believe. Webmonkey.com has a list of which browsers support which programming languages and all. Otherwise you would need to either html frames or reload the php page.
