Are browser settings detectable in PHP?

Is PHP aware of the option settings in web browsers? I am particlularly interested
in two of them: the "Show pictures" option (whether it's on or off) and the client scripting options (whether they're enabled or not).

If not, do you know any tricks that can be used to detect those settings?

I think the best way of getting broswer info is with the get_browser() function, check out this page:

Thank you, that's a good hint. I could use the function with the noscript tag to avoid problems occuring when scripting is not enabled. I don't know what to do about the "Show pictures" option, though...
