Viewing PHP Files

Is there a way to view php files without uploading them to a server. where i work they have blocked ftp access to my site host and i mostly work on my php stuff there.

Install PHP and a webserver on your local machine.

I have installed the openSA package which contains apache with php as a module as well as other stuff. That can be found at http://www.opensa.org

Also there are other packages like phpTriad, try a search on google.

I have my notepad set to open files. No need to install anything. I just click on mymail.php file and presto. It opens in notepad.
