Changing DOCUMENT_ROOT

My web host just migrated all of their servers and data, and in the process broke all of my pages.

Apparently the DOCUMENT_ROOT variable that I use in every page for my includes is no longer pointing to the right location. (see the message below.

Error Message I receive on every page:

Warning: Failed opening '/usr/local/www/html/mysql-stuff/authenticate/db-connect-Q.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /usr/local/www/virtual2/66/175/55/69/html/about_us_history.php on line 2

What do I need to do (given that I am hosting my site externally) to redirect DOCUMENT_ROOT. I could change it to a literal reference, but that would obviously involve changing 100s and 100s of pages.

Is this a problem my web host needs to fix?

do you include any file in all the pages (like a header file)

if oso then simply overwrite the default value for document root

$DOCUMENT_ROOT - new location.

You'll need to give the absolute path.

yes, your hosting provider should fix this. the only reason for $DOC... to be a wrong value is if they have apache configured incorrectly. Just tell them whats going on ... especially if you are paying.
