I saw that many sites use this kind of setting variables to navigate through the site:
www.thesite.com/?home
www.thesite.com/?jobs
www.thesite.com/?offers

How do they do this?

With if($home) I can not get it because there is no value set to it, the same for if(isset($home))

So how can I get them?
