Need help with GD and TTF

I´m thinking about using GD for dynamic image generation on a website.
phpinfo() gives me the following info:

'./configure' '--prefix=/usr' '--with-gd=/usr'

and under GD:

GD Support enabled
GD Version 1.6.2 or higher
JPG Support enabled
PNG Support enabled
WBMP Support enabled

How do I find out if I have support to do this with True Type Fonts? If not , how can I include support for TTF?

In phpinfo(), under "gd", look for

FreeTypeSupport enabled
FreeTypeLinkage with TTF library

If you do not see those, you don't have GD TTF support.
