Hello, I've created a site for a client, who I've had headaches trying to get a password and access to their host to do things such as see which version of PHP they run. I've finished the coding and finally a week later I've gotten access to put it up to learn that their host only has PHP 4.0.2 with magicquotes off. There's no support for is_uploaded_file, and I'm going to have to manually use addslashes and stripslashes to put stuff in the database.
I've always used magicquotes and I've never seen it turned off. Is this just me? I like magicquotes and can't think why someone would turn it off.
Secondly, there is no is_uploaded_file() which I've always used to see if a file's been uploaded. Any other options?
Thanks
