templates vs. no templates

I have never worked with templates, but I'm thinking of converting my current website into a temple based one. I am the only editor of the site, and I know PHP quite well. Is it really worth it converting it? Will that save a lot of time, or will I just overdo myself?

It sounds like it might be overkill if your the only editor of the site. I think a template based solution works pretty well and Ive used it in my professional work as a developer. Then again it might be fun to do anyway!

Have a look at what you are trying to do and the added value (consistency) you might get from templates. I'm the only editor of my site and they are invaluable. It means there is a heap of "stuff" taken care of every time I output a page.

I use up to 3 templates per page

-- the body
-- the footer

and I'd be lost without them.
