php.ini file question

I have been told by a script owner that I need to create an .htaccess file so that I can set...

register_globals = On

in the php.ini file.

How do I do this with .htaccess? What does this file need to contact? What CHMOD settings?

go into the php.ini file with a text editor (notepad) and just look for the register_globals sections and turn it on if it is not....there is no need to mess wih htaccess.

the php.ini file is extremely well written with lots of detailed comments to helpl you set the file the way that you need.
