For some reason when I upload .htaccess and .htpasswd to my password protected folder it isn't visible within the web directory. Anyone have any idea on why this is????
I'm running under winXP and I have the same thing, i guess it's because a .htaccess, that is a file that begins with a dot can not been seen under windows OSs.
If you can't see it then how does one delete it?
Well, it's my understanding that .file in UNIX is a hidden file.
Therefore, in windows you should be able to set your folder properties to display hidden files. in *NIX use ls -la from command prompt to see it.
