Workflow-solution with PHP?

Hello,

I'm currently planning a registration procedure for a bigger sports event, and in the backoffice part I need something like a workflow system.

Do you know a workflow system based on, (that additionally has to be integrated in an another groupware solution)

One example may be the following:

• I enter an invoice for payment processing.
• The leader of my team accepts it,
• The commercial starts the processing of the payment.

This workflow should be editable on the level of steps, and it should be possible to have decisions if a former part returns yes or no.

Do you know such a solution, or do you know somebody who also wants to have it? (Because otherwise we would start with own development)

If you are into developing this solution, please consider the following points in the design as we have designed and implemented such systems many times.

1. Workflow should be role-based.
2. Each script should not perform more than one step.
3. Each task's state can moved in both direction. (In some systems we had to design such that even a new workflow could be intoduced at any stage).
4. The end points should be we defined.

If you get the above points, this should be easy. The problem looks complicated but it wouldn't be if you give some test runs on the paper.
