Extracting Search Engine keywords

When I get a website visitor, I would like to know what keywords they searched on before getting to my site.

Is there a relatively straight forward way to establish this?

You could check the REFER tag and parse out the search data depending on what search engine the person was using. It would probably take some work because each search engine is different.
