Sending/subitting an HTML form in e-mail

I would like to send an HTML form via e-mail (that is no problem)... Now, I would also like people to be able to resubmit them via e-mail. For example, I send an HTML form to a user who can then fill it our in their client and then submit it to a PHP script on my server.

I have done this with my Microsoft Outlook client, but I am wondering if I will run in to and relativly widespread compatibility problems with other browsers?

It shouldn't give trouble as long as the FORM's ACTION is an absolute URL. Otherwise, yes, it will return an error on submitting it back. As for the other Mail clients, i say the same. Stick to VERY SIMPLE HTML (no CSS, no JavaScript) and compatibility is almost sure.
