phpmyadmin problems

Hello,
I've posted to many sites with no help so far. I've recently installed phpmyadmin. When I load up the index page, the main page and left DB menu show up. It even connects to my database. But when I click on any of the links, it shows the php code instead of a webpage. PHP scripts have worked fine on my system before, and still do. I've gone over the config so many times, even reinstalled phpmyadmin. I can't seem to figure the problem out. Any help would be great, I'm still a newbie at php. Thanks.

make sure that php works on your system (test it in the root directory with a file called test.php) this file is this

<?
phpinfo();
?>

to ensure that php works. you should get a big long page of variables and descriptors of the environment.

otherwise make sure that the directory that you have phpmyadmin in is accessible by the root directory of the web server

Hello, thanks for the help. I can run other scripts on my system. And I can run the info.php. I do have the phpmyadmin in the root web directory, the index page does show up. Just not the links. So I'm still stuck. I'll look at config some more. Maybe I missed something. Thanks

you donwloaded a version of phpmyadmin with .php extensions ou .php3 ? your scripts work well with the same extensions files?
