Hi

i got win 98 on my PC. i like to install linux and then install PHP & MY SQL to learn myself. it possible to install linux with win 98. please any one help me get this setup

this is not so easy, because you should divide your hd up to several partitions and configure the boot-manager etc. I appreciate you idea starting with linux, but why not killin win98 and installing a Linux system only ? And did you already startwith php/mysql ? if not maybe start in windows which is possible as well, you don't have to use linux ...

I started with linux last week. Downloaded red hat 7.3.

I installed it on an old PC but if you search the internet for keywords like "dual boot linux windows", I am sure there will be several tutorials on how to do this.

Unless you don't have any other things to do on your PC I won't advise to simply forget about windows and install a linux os only. As it will take some time to get into it.
