Multi-page forms

I need to get a simple form to pass its chosen values to a second form which then ask for more info from the user. When they hit subui they get taken to a third form asks for personal info (without re-showing previous info) and then all the info from all three form is submitted, is this possible because i cannot see how to do it!

Use hidden fields and fill them with previously entered values.

seems to work ...sort of, when i then send all the data off to mail.php it cannot see the hidden values at all, does the mail.php file need to know they are hidden?
