Setting up a PHP/MYSQL Intranet

Could someone please tell me how to let other computers on a peer-to-peer network access a PHP/MYSQL driven site (run by Apache) on another computer on the same network.

I'm assuming I have to use IP addresses and edit the http.conf file? I tried, but had no success.

Additionally, I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me how I "open" a port (ie. port 80).

Well I am trying to use Win XP (the others are 98, but will be XP soon), but I thought I'd turned off the appropriate options. Is there an XP specific problem here?
