Redirect if Inactive?

I am trying to check for inactivity on the website after about 30 seconds and then redirect back to the main page. Is this possible with PHP. Any help would be appreciated.

you can do it with a meta tag, very simple:

will go to the new URL in 3 seconds!

If there has been no activity as far as clicking anywhere on any link or submitting info on the page. This is a business application and I want it to go back to the main page when people aren't using it. Help would be appreciated.

that is what will happen with the meta tag, if you don't do anything it will redirect to where ever you point the URL after the specified amount of time.

you should give it a try.

...And if you do anything (read a text, for example) it will redirect you anyway.

PHP is SERVER side language. It knows nothing about what\'s happening on client\'s machine - especially after the page is sent.

I hope that 30 seconds is just an example (how much can you read/assess in 30 seconds?). Consider using javascript for this task.

Since it's a business application, perhaps the redirected page should say:

"GET BACK TO WORK NOW!!!!"

that wouldn't let me sit still for 1/2
minute....that was an example, I assume?
