I am looking for an PHP/MySQL-based forum/BBS script for use on my site.
There are so many out there it's hard to find a suitable one--the ones recieving the highest praise usually have too many features for me. I'm learning PHP & MySql so a barebones (but solid) script will be easier for me to learn from than an "ultimate/powerful/etc" one.
If anyone with more familiarity with what's out there can help, I'd really appreciate it!
The features I need are:
- registration required to post
- multiple topics
- post, reply message
- delete a message (admin)
- customizable display (fonts, colors, etc. but not necessarily 'templated')
Things that I DON'T need are: smileys, html in message, user icons, user profiles, private messages, user rankings, who's online, polls, etc.
