strtoupper -- Make a string uppercase
Description

string strtoupper (string string)

Returns string with all alphabetic characters converted to uppercase.

Note that 'alphabetic' is determined by the current locale. For instance, in the default "C" locale characters such as umlaut-a (ä) will not be converted.

Example 1. Strtoupper() example

$str = "Mary Had A Little Lamb and She LOVED It So";
$str = strtoupper ($str);
print $str; # Prints MARY HAD A LITTLE LAMB AND SHE LOVED IT SO

Hey Jerk! He's new.. When you started you can say you never asked stupid questions? Please. Now he/she knows how to search and get help with their problems. Though people like you encourge seperation of interests, and hatered toward learning something new. How about you go learn ASP! There you will be in your element of jerks. I am not saying all ASP people are jerks Infact I am an ASP person... Instead of wasting your words (much like I am doing now) just don't answer the question and don't get upset. Or how about point them into the right direction with PHP.net..

I don't think it is necessary to call anyone a jerk, especially when he did a good job of answering the question. I will agree with Yuriy on this one, the original poster should have checked the manual. This is a basic function that is clearly documented.

He is not encouraging 'hatred toward learning something new' or 'seperation of interests, whatever that means. This goes along with the 'Teach a man to fish' proverb.
In fact, that post looks like it came directly from the manual.
