Im looking to add up to date news to my webpage from syndicates like CNN/AP/Reuters, I have the script to convert the RDF files and I can display them, but the problem is that every time the page is requested, it also makes a request to the syndicate itself to grab the latest headlines.
I would like to cache the file locally on the web server every hour or so to speed up this process. I've heard of something involving a cron job, but I really have no clue where to get started. I am hosted through phpwebhosting.com, they run linux servers.
How would I go about caching remote pages locally on my server?
