Anyone who's a system administrator knows that a recent exploit for php <= 4.2.1 can be quite nasty and that an upgrade to 4.2.2 is necessary. (Unless you're in the dark about security, in which case chalk your mistakes up to youthful zeal) php.net has stated that the patch will fix the bug, and they've released both a 4.2.1 -> 4.2.2 patch, as well as full source code to 4.2.2.
Since the only change is the fix, there's no need to fully install the 4.2.2, but rather, the patch.
I DID use google, with little to no effect. Since this IS a php board I assumed someone around here would know.
As for doing my work for me, people do the same for you all the time when they answer your petty questions.
