well, i've had the same problem when i started professionally creating pages for my customers.
first thing:
you can't go by the number of pages, its not important if there are 3 or 10, you have to create a concept and the graphic framework for the page, the rest is often only text and some small images.
second thing:
i make my prices "by face" 😉 so if there is a small organisation and i have time to do their page and perhaps can tryout some new coding methods, i dont want to have as much money as i would want from a company i do a normal business representation site for.
third thing:
how much sites have you done yet ? if you want your customers to recommend you to their partners, do a good work for a good price and you will perhaps get more money from your next larger customers. always keep
your "career" in mind.
so, if you've done just static html pages with nice graphics for one website and have no reputation yet, i'd say $250-500 is a fitting price for a small professional website.
any other opinions ? id like to discuss prices for webdesign and -programming if there is interest from other people.
