Confirm window before continue?

How can i get a confirmation window and if answered 'yes', continue php execution?
I think with javascript, but how can i test the user answer to do a 'if ' statement?

I gather the data and then put up a confirmation page before going to the payment system. The page displays info but that's pure html. The secret is in the hidden form with all the hidden fields which hold the info from the previous page. When the user clicks proceed the form is submitted along with all the hidden fields.
