displaying text on image

Hello
How to display the text on top of my images.
For example I have a .gif or .jpg image and I would like to display in the bottom right corner text "please don't copy"

You can make the image a background and then put the font on top of that..

but if you want it to actually be in the image, you need the gd library.

You could open the image, write the text, and then output the result.

It would look similar to how Mark suggests, but modifes the image, instead of the appearence.

Note!
If you generate the text on the images on the fly, you should put your images outside the web directory, so the user not can access them.

eg. /home/yourname/images/
