Adding to includes!

I have multiple pages on my site using includes of a header and footer, I was wondering if it was possible to put anything into the includes from the page!?

I use:
include 'topinclude.php';

to include my top, I was wondering if I can add specific information to the body tag of the HTML from the page which is called.

I.E music.php is called by the visitor and bgcolor=#000000 needs to be added to the body tag, is this possible!

If I understood you right, you could add a HTML form to the page where the user could choose a colour(select box).
<form>
<select name=colour>
<option value="ff0000">red</option>
<option value="00ff00">green</option>
<option value="0000ff">blue</option>
</select>

And have this in your body tag

body bgcolor=
<?
if (isset($colour) {
echo $colour;
}
else {
$colour = "c0c0c0";
}
?>

I think that should work.

Sorry, if I confused you.
What I'm wanting to do is add some specific information from different pages to top include!

For example, for a page which has lots of preload images, I want to add the specific images for that page to the body tag!

Yes you can do this.
The included file is effectively merged into the main doc and can use variables from higher in the code and create variables to be used later.

An interesting use I have is on an faq page. I have a tree which calls a php script. To keep the tree simple I've created a script for each node of the tree. All the script does is create a variable and include another script. The second uses the variable to build a sql string and query the database and chuck standard text back out. Simple but effective.
