Data Driven Site ?

Could someone recommend a tutorial/article/book on the theorey behind creating a data driven site?

I'm aware of some of it but I would like to know how to make my links connect to the right data and how to dynamically create content based on data and queries.

I've just built a database driven site based on nothing other than what I found on phpbuilder.

Ask some more specific questions and I'm sure we'll be able to help you out.

Hi folks,
I want to store my page content on a DB, should I have my index as a static page? and if so how would I make the links query the DB t oreturn the content?

What I really need is an idea of where and how to start learning the theory that I need to start doing this.
